Malcolm Brown's Teammate to OU

A couple of quotes from Steele that I found interesting:

"The schools I went to, most of them felt like they were reading a script, telling me what I wanted to hear. It just didn’t feel right." -- If he's talking about a visit with Mack, I call BS on that. Very rarely (if at all) does Mack come across as reading from a script.

"When I went to OU, you could tell they were real with me." This I can believe. Translation: You'd be buried on the depth chart at TCU or Texas, but you can get on the field at OU and get a nice vehicle or job at Big Red Motors to boot.

assuming he is referring to texas with those comments, and we can't assume he was..... it doesn't necessarily mean he is talking about mack. obviously the position coach recruiting him would be the likely target of those comments.

plus sometimes, people just connect. i've heard recruits say we were real with them, and i've also heard a few bunch us in with all the others as boring/scripted/etc trips and visits.

don't take it so personal.

and he was being recruited by jackie shipp, who is easily the best recruiter in bob stoops tenure.... maybe since barry switzer.

Who is taking it personally? No one. I don't think one person on here is upset at losing this kid to the dark side. There isn't even any mention of him other than he is Malcolm Brown's teammate. Let me continue in wishing this kid good luck in all his future endeavors except the RRR.

So what is the situation with Malcolm Brown? We haven't landed a big time back in a few years. We really need this kid IMO.

Rumor is that Texas had cooled off of him for some time, even after the Russell decommit. That implies that Texas didnt take the decommit too personally and still kept open an offer for Russell and didnt feel that they had to go after Anderson.
Texas has constantly given the signal that they regard Russell above Anderson and have shown so in their recruiting.
Obviously like any rational human being, Anderson moved on and picked a school from the lot that had an offer open for him.
So dont assume stuff. Anderson has done nothing to suggest that he is not a good kid, the kind of kid who makes snide remarks about schools or doesnt anything shady. He is not like Lache, all he did was move ahead with him life when Texas backed off of him.
He seems like a fine young man and I wish him the best for his future, except when he is facing us...

No one is taking offense to anything here. My post (if that is the one notreally is referring to) was intended to be sarcastic--I guess I should've added another smilie to it (like this one

perhaps). I wish the kid the best of luck.

This stuff never gets personal with me--it's football. If it was about faith, family, life or liberty, I might take it personal.
