You guys made me think of sitting in the student section back in the day when Earl lined up on defense and blocked a punt by Arkansas and trotted it in for a TD!.

"back in the day when Earl lined up on defense and blocked a punt by Arkansas and trotted it in for a TD!." ______________________________________________________________Thats what made Earl the best football player (not just a running back) of his generation. He wasn't just a great back, he was a great football player.

If you read the aggy message boards they are sporting a big chubby over Kerrville's QB, who is currently committed to Oregon but supposedly may switch to aggy and will end up being the best QB of the 2011 class.

Not to nitpick but, while Earl did block the punt against Arkansas, it was Doug English who scooped it up and scored!

The QB you speak of from Kerrville Tivy is undeniably a great high school player. His line from the Steele game:

34 of 42 passing 428 yds, 6 TD's
18 rushes 130 yds, 2 TD's

His line from the previous week's game vs. SA Madison (who beat Malcolm's Steele on national TV):

41 for 75 passing 503 yds, 4 TD's 0 INT
17 rushes 72yds, 1 TD

I don't know anything about him changing his commitment to aggy, but regardless of what he chooses... he's one heck of a high school QB.

I saw Johnny Manziel live against Aaron Green and San Antonio Madison and it was a hell of a display of straight up ballerness. This kid is all that and a Venti Bold from Starbucks. Whoever gets him is going to be very, very happy. He will get even better in college as there are some fundamentals in the pass game, like throwing off his back foot when he has the time to set up and step into it, that rudimentary college coaching will certainly correct.

Johnny Manziel = Badass

I'm going to go to Austin today to watch him square off against Lake Travis. If you are looking for something to do, this game is a top notch option.
