Making web-based email a default email

I have MAC OSX and only use yahoo mail via Safari. Is there any possible way to set this up so I can click on an email link on the web and it will automatically open up the yahoo mail homepage? like if you're running Outlook and the app just pops up and propagates the email address into the 'To' field of a new email. copying and pasting gets old.

I'd be surprised if you could. What you're clicking on is a URL with a "mailto:" instead of an "http:" protocol. So it's going to look for the application you've assigned to "mailto:". I can't think of a way to direct that to the Yahoo mail pages.

Of course, I could be wrong.
