Apparently some of our mainstream media have an agenda when it comes to Obamacare. Imagine that. This one is close to home - the Fort Worth Star Telegram. The Link
I just tried to help a client today get a policy through the exchange. She doesn't want to lose access to her Dr. and guess what her Dr doesn't participate in the exchange, so she has two choices, pay more for a plan that includes her current Dr, or get less coverage, pay more and loose access to her Dr on an exchange plan.
Our family Dr also has a sign in her office that they also do not participate in any exchange/ACA plans.
This bill is costing people more $$ and they are getting much much less.
I'm sure there are some fabrications on both sides, but I have experienced many more situations like my clients today than the pie in the sky "keep your Dr. and it will cost way less" crap that Obama and crew kept spewing about how the ACA.
What I think gets missed in this "reporting" are the real costs of ACA to the family/individual. The real costs are not the monthly premiums that one must pay but the actual cost of going to the doctor. I would assume most of the people will be getting the bronze plans or the equivalent. If that is the case, then your deductible is where the real costs are. For myself, I would have to pay up to $12,700 in deductibles before the actual insurance kicks in. Unless I have a catastrophic event or a major prodcedure, I will basically pay for all my medical costs each year. Now tell me how that is better than what we had before?
This is nothing more than moving the goalposts to divert attention from the program's problems. The bottom line is that people were promised and reelected the President on the assumption that they could keep their plans if they liked them. It was a lie (not just a falsehood), and no amount spin will ever change that. They were also told that their premiums would go down by $2500 per year. Why aren't we judging the program on that standard?
