Is it someplace where you can have a sustained conversation without yelling?

My inlaws tried this place a couple nights ago and they were very impressed. They said the food was very good and the atmosphere was nice.

it's in Round Rock off Main st..

Been there with my wife. There were only about 10 other people in the restaurant, so it was perfect for conversation. I believe we went on a Wed night. Not sure about other nights, but I assume it gets crowded on the weekends. The food is good, not excellent, and the atmoshpere is very nice, especially considering it's in Round Rock (no offense).

I had the ill-tempered Sea Bass and my wife had the Prime Rib. The Prime Rib was very good, and the sea bass was ok.

I would give it 3 out of 4 stars. Definitely go see for yourself.

Yup, it's a nice place. Good food, good atmosphere, excellent service. I've heard the old bank vault with a table for 4-6 people is popular. Unlike some Austin restaurants, Main Street accepts reservations, which I recommend for weekends and holidays.

It's easy to find...from I-35 exit RR620, go east (becomes Main Street), and it's on the left in downtown Round Rock.
