Madonna's Halftime Show

agree, and even the big man from the voice picked his spots, didn't try to override Madonna.

I especially liked the ending, to me it said Madonna knew she was not bigger than the game, wanted to get out of the way, so the 2nd half could start.

I wish all performers could look at that and learn how to get out of the way, when it's time.

Madonna was brilliant- it was a great combination of her past, her now, and incorporating something from the 20 year olds of today..She seemed like she was having fun out there too which I love to see.

I'm more of a rock or alt rock kinda guy with occasional country- but Madonna always makes me move.. my 2 year old daughter even started dancing to Vogue!!
 
We didn't watch --0 we flipped to Animal Planet to catch the replay of the Kitty Halftime Show.

None of us are Madonna fans.
 
Was that Madonna at the half?

I saw what seemed like 482 performers on 20 sets with a number of current guest stars and a bunch of techno displays.

Oh yeah, I think I recall her in there somewhere.
 
Seems like a silly waste but that's just me. Now it seems one of the performers flipped off the audience to get their 15 minutes of fame. Great.

Madonna lip sync some of the songs. Atleast there were some that were obvious. She may have lip sync all of them.
 
I have always liked Madonna, probably because of my early days at UT—mid 80s—partying and dancing to her stuff at Enzo’s on 6th Street. She was huge then and those days were so fun.
 
I'm a product of the 80s so sadly, I dig some of her music.

The easy thing to do was to watch and talk trash about her, but I found myself respecting that she didn't go all skank on us.
Plus the woman is 53, so it didn't bother me that she made it a production instead of just about her. Now, if Led Zeppelin did that I'd be pissed.

As for the other chic who flipped the finger, I didn't catch it but NBC needs to understand that some freaks purposely use super bowl halftime to act a fool. Unless they wanna book the Captain and Tennille every year, this is a risk they have to take with these clowns.

Oh yea, the tight rope dude was cool, IMO.
 
Haters gonna hate. I thought it was the best half time show yet, and I haven't seen another 53 year old who looks that good, and can sing and dance like Madonna since Tina Turner a couple of decades ago. Her music's dance music, but damned good dance music, even the stuff from the eighties. By the way, "skank" might describe any one of a dozen or more celebs today...it doesn't describe Madonna. Entertainer does.
 
I generally don't watch half time shows. That's the time I go recycle the first half's beer!
 
Didn't much care for it. I liked Madonna ----in the 80s.
Can we please have a Superbowl Halftime that doesn't celebrate Acts from the 80s. Can we please have an Act more in tune with today's music?
 
When you lipsync because you dance your *** off it can still be hot. If you move like me and still lipsync you're useless. She needs to stay at home.
 
I guess I'd be an old fuddy-duddy to suggest that we bring back marching bands instead of having "Halftime Extravaganzas."

I hate Halftime Extravaganzas. They always suck no matter who performs. Especially the ones with burnt-out, geriatric rockers.
 
I was expecting it to suck horrendously. It was actually decent, but hardly worthy of greatest ever. She appears to be able to sing and dance well, but let's hear it without the vocal effects. And the songs were pretty nondescript. Best part of the show was the guy using the slackline as a trampoline.
 
she dances better than faith hill and sings better than neil young but she is a total skank and always has been. Her schtick is being skanky but not too skanky.

I saw Evita and she can act better than Bobcat Goldthwait.

I guess that makes her the complete package. Of what, I guess that is a matter of taste.
