Been there, no interest in Madonna, but my boyfriend is gonna **** his pants with excitement. I am not looking forward to May 1 at the OCH, but I'd be willing to bet that I'm not going to have any choice but to be there.

Rumor denied in this morning's AAS, btw. There will be a CD release party for Madonna's new CD, but not a scheduled appearance by Madonna, according to the article.

I remember watching the Cotton Bowl where Ricky F-Stomped MSU at Oil Can Harry's. Honestly, is there a fan base besides LSU (see dudes kissing after they scored the touchdown) with such a knowledgeable and vocal gay contingent?

I'm no Hpslugga or any of the other strong X's and O's types, but as a gay man, I know my football. I know zillions of fellow gay Longhorn Fans that know their stuff too.

This Madonna show would have been awesome.

That Madonna show, had it happened would have been a logistical catastrophe that would have been fun to watch. APD would have lost their ****.

Anybody remember Hall's back in the 80s? Best music in town if you were into things like The Smiths, The Cure and stuf like that.

Was Hall's the club on the east side of Colorado Street, roughly around the original location of Alamo Drafthouse? I went there one time with a group of friends -- three guys, two girls. Two of the guys (myself included) spent most of the night dancing with the two girls, while the odd man out spent most of his time declining advances from gay guys because he unwittingly wore white jeans, which was allegedly code for "please hit on me if you're a guy".

Haha, I don't know about the white pants but one of our friends was always the odd man out and endured hits by guys. We all thought he was gay anyways. Turns out, later on he realized he was. He was shocked to hear us all say we knew this all along. "Why didn't you guys tell ME?".

Hall's had ridiculously hot women late night. They wanted to dance their asses off without all the typical BS guys give them in straight bars. Some were "fruit flys" others just there with friends. If you could dance, you had women all over you. They loved that you would be open minded enough to go to a gay club to dance and not judge.

To me it was a no brainer. Great music, hot women and the sometimes harder steps to getting in their heads and hearts out of the way. What a gay old time we had at Hall's.

She could playing next door and I'd still be sitting here watching Merle Haggard live at Billy Bobs in HD.
