I've heard Madison is like a brother to Austin during the summer time. Always been a place I would love to hang out in for a few months, or at least hit up a game there. How does a home/home with Wisc sound?

I've spent time in Madison and it reminded me of Austin pre-1990, if Lake Travis bordered campus.

i.e., the good 'ol days before Austin was overrun with carpetbaggers from California, Illinois, Virginia.

Madison is a great town. Went there in 2003 for a Badger game. On Saturday morning we went around the capitol area, where they had a huge farmer's market deal set up. We ate breakfast and watched the freaks, of which there were MANY.

Then we hit the campus area pre-game. Wow. You haven't lived until you're in a packed Madison bar and the Wisconsin band freaking marches in and plays the fight song. That was an awesome experience.

I ******* love Madison. Bar none the best student section I've ever seen.

As for eats, for my money you just can't beat a Plaza Burger (I really hope they're still open). The Nitty Gritty is also a pretty good spot.

Mmmmm...fried cheese.
