on AMC is a fantastic show. They're airing the reruns now.

On a side note, if smoking in the late 50's/early 60's was even half as pervasive as portrayed on the show there must have been a pall of smoke covering the earth. I think literally every scene includes someone smoking a cigarette.

The show's cigarette budget must be huge.

AMC is running them on sunday nights, i believe. Also, they are probably available on demand.


yeah, the smoking really gets me. it's a constant thing. i really enjoy the show, it's how i would want to run my ad agency, without all the blatant sexism, of course.

What did you guys think about the last scene of the 8/30 episode where Don contemplates while looking at himself in the mirror shaving with his daughter in the room? I would normally think such a scene is over-the-top with schmaltzy-ness but this show makes stuff like this work.
