Mack Makes Case for Heisman to Vince

Some how I doubt that when VY gets up in the morning and puts on that ring that he says to himself "damn I wish I was as good as that guy who won that trophy thing".

I don't think the trophy should go to anyone. Frankly, I think if the Heisman people want their trophy to regain some of its lost luster, it needs to remain vacant for 2005 as a reminder to all future players that the cheaters never win. Furthermore, it needs to serve as a reminder to all Heisman voters that they need to start taking their duty a lot more seriously, rather than just handing the most revered trophy in college athletics to the best player on the best team at the end of November.

They had their chance to give it to Vince, and they blew it. They do not get to feel better about themselves by giving it to him now because Reggie Bush conveniently gave them a do-over.

On January 4, 2006 the Heisman folks found out what we knew all along. No trophy will change that.

If they want to give it to VY, so be it, he certainly deserved it but I feel no need to lobby for something the world already knows....Or am I being too cocky?

Give it to Vince.

He can put it behind the photo of Mack Brown and him -- the one on the shelf in his bookcase. That's the relative value of that trophy compared to playing at Texas and for Mack Brown.
