All kidding aside, recruiting is a numbers game. Mack Brown only recruits out of state if he feels a player my be a better fit than someone in Texas. Otherwise he gets guys in-state that want to be Longhorns. So really odds are not in his favor when getting late 5-Star and/or OOS guys because of that and the fact that those guys have 5 to 6 schools looking at them. Plus many of those guys have proven not to be team first players and MB's style tends to weed out those guys anyways. But JJ and JH turned out to be guys who waited a while because they really wanted to make sure they were making the right choices.
To those who've tended to hand wring after losing the big ones in previous years, no worries. But I think this proves Mack knows what he's doing and till Boom takes over, In Mack I Trust with the program.
