For the purists, I know you wont call this chili. With the beans and brown sugar, some of you are sure to poop on this as being chili. But for now, here's what's for dinner:
1.5 pounds of browned ground turkey
1 can black beans
1 can chili beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can Ro-Tel chilies and peppers
San Antonio chili powder
Extra cumin
Extra garlic salt
Brown sugar
All of the spices are season to taste. I have no idea how much I put in each time. I just pour and/or shake. I brown the meat and toss it in with everything but the black beans about 4-5 hours before it's time to eat. About 90 minutes from serving time, I add the black beans otherwise they tend to disintegrate. Pretty much throughout, I add a little spices as I see fit.
