I was flipping past the golf channel a few days ago, and caught a segment on this new driver from burrows golf. has anyone actually swung one?

is it worth a **** or is it just another gimmick?

also, how's the new taylor made r7 quad driver? it looks very promising and if it delivers as advertised I might make the switch from callaway.

I hit the mac powersphere at a demo day once. This club has interchangeable components (i.e., the mac representative watches your swing and then switches out club heads/shafts to best fit your swing). After describing my swing to him and hitting a few drives, he changed to a shaft with a different flex/kick point and I hit it a lot better. The club set up well for my eye, but ultimately I decided to stick with my Cleveland Launcher (330cc). But, the powersphere isn't a bad club at all, imho.

I'm also thinking of trying the r7. A friend of mine attended the U.S. Open and said this club was in many of the players' bags. If I can change the plugs to get a better ball flight, I'm all for it.

yeah, I'm going to try to see if I can test drive an r7. I don't want to go to golfsmith because they only let you hit it against the net. I need to take one to a range and see the actual ball flight. I always want to see how the club sets up at address.
