Okay I am leaving the office at noon tomorrow for a longer than normal weekend. I am in quest for the best sub sandwich in Austin. Where should I go?

Subs are subs, for the most part. What kinds of subs do you like? Italian cold cuts? Hot subs (cheesesteak, even)? Turkey and guac? Veggie?

Just don't go to Subway, and you ought to be good to go.

Hog Island is probably the answer. Although the Texican I had today at Texadelphia was pretty damn good too.

another (late) vote for hog island. their cheesesteaks are far and away the best in austin.

Hog Island is now on the list. As I was close to East Austin and had never been to Gene's Restaurant I went there. The hot ham po boy I had was outstanding.
