LSU Pitching

Ok, who goes for LSU tonight and who is the first relief? How do we stack up pitching-wise with LSU. Clearly, they have more better hitters. But I think we have better pitching( only couldn't tell last night). So, any predictions other than a Longhorn win?

My main hope is that the LSU closer, Matty Ott, is gassed tonight. I think he threw 3 innings last night, and going again tonight, might be tough. I also hope if Jungmann goes for us, that he, at minimum, doesn't look like a deer in the headlights. He looked so darn good in his earlier appearances in Omaha. But the bright lights last night got him over-amped, and he overthrew wildly. Workman looked te best last night, but not sure he can go again tonight after rusting for the last month. They'll try and save Cole Green or Jungmann, whichever doesn't go tonight, but if we fall behind, then it's sell out time, and use them both. Jungmann got me really scared last night, and prior to that, I had most confidence in him.

Ross, our #3 starting tonight. Good arm, can control speeds pretty well. 5 to 6 inning kind of guy. Our middle is somewhat below par but able to keep pace with hitters. Closer will be decided by the score. Ott was used up in three innings but he still had a low pitch count so you never can tell. If we have a run or two up on ya then we have a host of starters to throw at the situation but if it is close then obviously they will have to sit the pine till tomorrow.

Heat played a huge factor last night and is certain to work em over tonight. I do not think there is a pitcher alive that would not be affected by this heat...

Please don't make us have to use our starting strong safety!!!

If hte Horns can jump on this guy, get to their relievers early and keep Jungmann on the bench ready for tomorrow, I like Texas' chances a lot.

I thought the tall guy (Ranaudo) was going tonight? From what I've read, there is a big dropoff between your #2 and #3 guys.

I heard the announcers discussing the heat for sure. Did it sap either of the 2 starters last night? Anyone know?
