Holy crap ... "Gorilla Ball" lives !!!
I saw that LSU dropped their 3rd game in the past week, 10-9 last night to La-Lafayettte. Looked at their numbers ... Playstationesque.

14 games, 11-3 record
Runs (159) = 11.4 per game
HR's (31) = 2.2 per game
Number of Games with over 10 runs = 10
Number of Games with over 15 runs = 4
Number of Games with over 18 runs = 2

Notables:

* They have a player with 27 RBI already (Sean Ochinko) ... Texas leader = 8 RBI
* Have a player with 8 HR's already (Leon Landry) ... Texas leader = 2 HR
* Have yet to play a ranked opponent
* It's my opinion that they would get *****-slapped against a team with good pitching and solid defense

their new stadium is very, very friendly for gorilla ball.

One of my pretty good friends plays for LSU. Micah Gibbs, their starting catcher. I played with him at Leander for 2 years before he transferred to Pflugerville his sr year. Switch hitting catchers that hit for contact and power are pretty hard to come by and he's only a sophomore.
