First of all, this post is assuming anyone is still reading this board. Thought I'd post since we've hit a lull. Orangebloods is stretching to cover the lull too with this list out so early. Despite it being early it's still very interesting to see who some of the real talent is projected to be. We all know this will change substantially but some of the top guys I imagine will stay. Jeffcoat, Seastrunk, and Carter look to be 5 stars from what I've read/seen. Looks like a great Texas crop of DEs (4 in top 12) and weak for OL (only 2 in top 24). Who do you all think our biggest targets should be given how the '09 class is shaping up?

At first glance I would think biggest targets should be Seastrunk, Nelson at LB, a couple of those top DEs between Jeffcoat/Wilson/Okafor/Owunkaife, & Noble/Guy at DT. Of course it would be nice to bring in Carter or Walker at QB and redshirt behind Gilbert. I imagine we will continue to have success bringing in DBs, WRs, and OL where we look pretty deep right now.

I'm not convinced that Carter will be a five star ---- yet. Seastrunk and Jeffcoat appear to be pretty safe bets, though.

I would guess that most of the top 10 on that list will remain very coveted players, but this far out there is bound to be guys who aren't even on the radar yet who will also end up very highly rated.

I also agree that I do not think Carter will be a 5 star (but will be national top 100). Seastrunk is probably the top RB in the state. If Seastrunk is not a 5 star, it will be close. Barring injury, Jeffcoat will not move from the top stop in the state. In fact, Jeffcoat could very well be the no. 1 prospect in the nation. He has that much talent.

Could they have picked a worse photo gallery for McCoy?
Yikes.

Silsbee's Jeremy Johnson was invited to the spring game. I believe he was th e only QB of 2010 in attendance.
