Louisville and Nashville

They're not the most glamorous vaction spots discussed on here, but we are heading to the Ryder Cup in Louisville this September. From there we will catch the Gators and Vols in Knoxville and round out the trip in Nashville.

Any helpful suggestions or stories about these stops?

It will be the 3rd and 4th week of September. We will have a car.

drove through louisville on my way from ohio to texas. we spent the night and ate at Jack Fry's. It was awesome - great ambience, delicious food, excellent service, really cool place.

Unfortunately I got really really lost on my way from the restaurant back to our hotel downtown and ended up in a very dicey neighborhood. Be careful.

Do a search on here for Nashville vacation ideas. It was discussed not that long ago. Actually, Nashville has a lot to do, especially if you're into the music scene. The city reminds me a lot of Austin.
