Louie's 106

My best friend, who's a very talented professional chef is coming into Temple this weekend. We've been tossing around dinner ideas and it looks like we're both going to give Louie's a shot for the first time, with our wives.

Any showstopper items that some of you would recommend?
I just hate when I go somewhere and people are like, "Oh, you should have ordered the............I never go without ordering that item there."

Also, can we retire to the bar to watch the TX-OU gmae afterwards? What's their setup like?

I'd like to go somewhere else (Ringers), but I know it'll be horrific.

All I can say is that the Gorgonzola Cheese, Bacon, Herb and Mascarpone Cream tossed with Linguine and Grilled Chicken breast was just a little too much. I wish I'd tried the Veal Scallopini.

got back and the meal was a solid "good" meal.

It definitely did not have that "blow us away" effect that we were hoping for.
