Just say no to the Black Rock dynamite. I was not expecting that one to blow so quickly.

Loved the ending. Wonder if Desmond was trying to get Locke's consciousness to reenter FLocke's body.

The Hurley/Libby scene on the beach was awesome.

BTW, does anyone think that the kid MIB keeps seeing in the jungle might be him as a child? I have no idea why that occurs to me, but it's just a weird feeling I have.

They should have had Arnst walk our right before it happened and walk up next to her saying "Hey, what's going on here??? I just woke up and I'm back on the island again?? And you jerks probably knew this was gonna happen and never told me about it, just another example of the ..." BOOM!

Prodigal, I hadn't thought that, but it does give a good explanation for the way that kid is always smirking at him. And nothing flusters MIB except for that kid.

OK I just had a thought... haven't flushed it out yet, but I've been wondering why we haven't heard any more about the whole thing about kids on the island - why babies weren't being carried to conception, why the obsession with taking kids, the whole Aaron subplot, all of which have pretty well been ignored in the past two seasons.

So what if MIB is behind this? What if he has a vested interest in making sure that no kid is born on the island? And is that possibly the reason why Aaron was of such importance? Why Claire was told not to give him up, so that he could be brought to the island - and why MIB sent the fake vision of Claire to Kate telling her not to bring Aaron back?

I'd like to see them close the loop on that part of the plot, but it may be one of those threads that gets lost by the wayside.

What happened at the end after they showed Locke in the wheelchair & Desmond in the car? My recording just stopped right there.

What is completely crazy about Lost and those of us that love it is that most of UTDude's synopsis could have easily happened.

I've enjoyed this season. It seems like they're going to answer most of the big questions, although they'll probably do it in the last five minutes of the last episode.

Revealing that the whispers are people who can't move on because of what they've done was kind of lame for some reason. They did it matter of factly, almost as an aside and then just moved on. Maybe they should have shown us some of these people or something more dramatic.

And, I'm sorry, but I do not want to see Hurley in any kind of love scene. I have a weak stomach.

And, lastly, why give Ilana a big build up: she thought of Jacob as a father; she'd trained her whole life to come to the island and kick the MiB's ***; yadda yadda, and then just blow her up? Will we never know why she was bandaged head to toe in that Russian hospital? That seemed like the writers doing a mid-course correction or something.

So why are they doing all this? It sure seems like they are setting up another series in the alternate universe, perhaps where these same characters are drawn together to try to find the island or fight the evil that escapes from it. isn't Claire's baby supposed to be a Savior? Call the show AMAZING GRACE...I once was LOST but now am FOUND...

I just got caught up on this season this morning. It has been a real pleasure to watch the last nine episodes. I think a tear has sqeaked past my eye at least once the past four or five episodes.

Benjamin's story is the best. Richard's was well done but for such a mysterious character underachieved.

Based on this season, if they do ressurect the series as something based on the sideways flashes, I'll be watching.

That was a metaphor for what the island is LIKE... not an answer to what it actually is. If that indeed is the kind of answers we'll get... its rather unsatisfying, no??

It would be like saying, "My wife has the heart of a lion" You know SOMETHING about the nature of my wife being courageous... but not much else.

WHat is the island??? Its more than just 'like a wine bottle'.

In Jacob's metaphor, the island isn't the bottle. It's the cork. And, based on Jacob's description, the MiB's evil that it's containing inside is something worse than Thunderbird.

I finally got caught up last night. It looks to me like Desmond knows everything. He is totally and completely without fear and at peace. He obviously has a plan, how he is going to carry it out is the question although i believe he is trying to get everyone in the alternate storyline to get back to the island.
