Wow. That might be the single most significant killing off of a character in the entire 5 or 6 years of this show.

Best episode I can recall.

This show is really incredible.

Carlos Castaneda had an interesting series of books about about brujos, use of psychotropic plants, and shape shifting in the 60's and early 70's. A separate Reality was part of a trilogy. The Link

What's significant about killing a kid when he still lives as an adult 30 years later. Time travel is just stupid as is this show now. So disappointing.

A storm knocked out our satellite last night when things were starting to get interesting. I take it that young Ben got whacked. Details, please.

This show is so wacky and frustrating but that is what makes it the only show I set aside to watch every week. I can't wait to see how they explain away the dead Ben kid and then have him all grown up.

When did Ben give Sayid a book? I missed it. So what are the odds that Ben hired the bounty hunter to get Sayid on the plane?

"Will he even exist anymore"

Actually, the last time we saw Ben (in that timeline), Locke was standing over him saying this was the man who killed him. So, yes, he still exists...

One theory is that young Ben is not dead. That throughout this whole process, Ben remembers the time when he was a lad that the hostile he was going to run away with shot him. It maybe turned Ben into the man he is (but I get turned upside down thinking of the time paradox of that one). But who will save young Ben? Jack maybe?

Also, where the hell is Claire? She just ran away with Jacob and is gone forever?

Where are the rest of the castaways?? They ran from those flaming arrows, got separated from Sawyer's bunch, then were just gone?

Very interested to see how this plays out.

Who gives a **** - we have Dead Christian/Live Christian, Dead Locke/Live Locke, Dead Ben/Live Ben. This show takes more liberties than Dallas did when they brought Bobby back or Newhart when it was all a dream.

Faraday said it best, what has happened has already happened. ben has known, from the moment he met Sayid that he shot him, and has known that it was his job to get him back in time to the 70s. the others find ben, and help him recover, and then raise him as one of their own.

Favorite line of the night:

"An eight year old Benjamin Linus just offered me a chicken salad sandwich - how do you think that I'm doing?"

And agreed that it's awesome for him to have been shot, but it's just like when Locke's killed; he's woven into the timelines so he's not permitted to die. Those who are short time visitors though are expendable.

Of course he isn't dead...that is why Ben told Sayid he knew Sayid was a killer because he had "killed" him on the island when he was a nice little boy. How eeevil must you be to shoot a boy with an abusive dad and who brings you books and sammiches? 2 things really bugging me: 1) Sayid is a pro killer and doesn't shoot 2x, check pulse or anything I would imagine a real hitman would do. 2) I was a Sr. in high school in '77 and all I remember is high waisted polyester pants with shiny shirts, boys and girls! Guys at my school even wore >shuddder< leisure suits, except on Fridays which was jeans day. They are wearing hippy dippy cool clothes from the '60s. Get it right people!!
I liked it better when Homer put the fork in the toaster and it rained donughts.
