It's time for Texas BBQ in LA again!

We had such a great time last year and the food, straight from Salt Lick in Austin, was awesome!! That's what good brisket is supposed to taste like. And it was great meeting so many Horns in LA too.

Count me in for sure! I'll be there.

This way you can enjoy Salt Lick BBQ without that sawed-off little short-man-complex-havin' sheriff's deputy goin' off on everyone that looks at him the wrong way as they come & go through the Salt Lick parking lot. Then you can enjoy some dessert at the marina Cheesecake Factory or take a roll or a stroll down the strand to Hermosa Beach and have a beer & watch a game at the Ragin' Cajun, or maybe Sangria, or Sharkey's.

COME JOIN US FOR THE 11TH ANNUAL L.A. TEXAS EXES SALT LICK BBQ SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER!

Date: Saturday, August 9th 2008
Time: 3:00PM to 9:00PM
Place: Seaside Lagoon, 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, CA

Love this California climate, but miss real Texas BBQ? No worries!! Once again, we're shipping in ribs, brisket, sausage, turkey breast, and of course the world-famous BBQ sauce from the Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, Texas. All proceeds benefit the L.A. Texas Exes Scholarship Fund, so come on out and help support the chapter!!

Ticket includes all you can eat ('til it's gone, so get there early!) BBQ, side dishes and dessert, sodas, bottled water, plus Shiner Bock and Miller Lite on tap. And there's volleyball, horseshoes, a play area for the kiddies, a raffle and silent auction, and more!!!

WE'VE LOWERED THE TICKET PRICE A FULL $10 CHEAPER THAN LAST YEAR!!

Tickets are ONLY $25.00 for Texas Exes Members ($32.50 for non-members) BEFORE JULY 27th

After the 27th, we've got to raise the price- $35.00 for members ($42.50 for non-members) from July 27th to August 8th. Kid's tickets (8-14 years old) are $15.00 (children 0-7 are free).

Due to the lower price and limited amount of tickets available, TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE EVENT SO BUY NOW!!

Texas Exes who show their membership ID or keychain at the door get a FREE raffle ticket.

You don't have to be a University of Texas Alum to attend, you just have to like great BBQ (and be able to tolerate a lot of Burnt Orange!!)
