Okay, maybe I am reaching for another reason for DJ to stay, but do you think one or both of these guys would bump DJ down a spot in this year's draft?

I dont think DJ will ever be a top 5 pick. If he returns next year i believe he will improve his game but not his draft position.

If he stays and we make the Championship Game or even win it all and he has a big game, that'll definitely lift his draft position in Vince-like fashion.

DJ will not improve his draft position by staying another year. His game is what it is. His position may be affected by the quality of next year's class vs. this year's, but not by much.

OTOH James' can really help his status by staying another year and showing the same kind of improvement that he did from last season to this one. If he does that he could potentially become a lottery pick.

DJ's game could be absolutely the same next year (and maybe even a little worse) and he could still improve his draft stock due to this year's freshman class going through the system (Beasley, Mayo, Rose, etc). This was a great class that's going to eat up a lot of draft picks.

There may be a tipping point involved in going this year vs. next year. Scouting is subjective and it may get to a point that the conventional wisdom begins to emphasize his lack of size and speed.

How many sub 6 foot pg's without exceptional quickness are drafted in the lottery. Maybe one in the last 10 years--where was the St. Joe's kid drafted?
