Looks like were are stuck in Big12...........

The Big XII knows, but will not publically admit, their revenue is going to take a big hit when Texas on ou leave. Their only hope is to wait out the PAC-12 collapsing when the LA schools leave for the B1G.

Besides, telling the refs not to call fouls on the other team when playing Texas and ou seems to be an "equitable" trade-off.

While the TV money is at the root of most all of this, when the story broke I wondered if there was a scenario where the deal falls apart?

I would never want to wish bad stuff on anyone but would not shed a tear if the “ new” Big 12 gets disbanded due to no revenue from low tv ratings and attendance after we leave. Schools like bailor needed to be in Division 3 all along and only survived due to political meddling.

You are right. Politics helped Bailor as did massive cheating
But bu has had some success on the field and court. Yes through cheating but they did have to play the games against other schools and win.
They are despicable but they have done ok in FBS.

And as a private religious college, have had success through ill gotten means for the most part. It is my opinion that private schools, even Notre Dame need to be in a separate conference of private schools only.
State supported schools always pay the bills for the private undeserving schools in my opinion.

I would like to see Texas & OU finish 1/2 this year, then find a way to substitute SFA/Sam for the CCG, thus bidding the Bowelsby **** Show & television a "F.O.N.D. Farewell".

Mary, Mother of God I can't believe it has come to this, but with the exception of the two games in Sabre's scenario, I hope OU doesn't punt this season, is 11-2 and the second highest scoring team in America. We both need to give the Irate 8 Welfare Queen's and their new friends something to remember us by the next two years.

I would really like for the Tceh game in Austin on 11/24/23 to be our final (regular) game in the Big XII.

And I want the Horns to give them a thorough thrashing.

It doesn’t really matter what conference we play in, we just need to win games. The officiating has been biased against us, but the path to the final four is easier in the Big 12.

They want the equivalent of the ad dollars from all the Fox games for both teams, and we don't have that kind of leverage. I'm opposed to giving another cent to this organization, so we ride out 2023 and 2024. It stings, but the alternative of just "being" in the SEC a year early isn't worth it.

It just seems like moving on is best for both sides. Hard to believe that Big 12 is working in their best interests by delaying the move.

Big XII has been told by TV that the loss of Texas & OU will trigger a significant drop in their current TV revenue, and "don't call us, we'll call you" about the renewal with your new marquee names.

We need to make our run THIS YEAR! Favorable schedule! Maturing Team! It’s that simple! Be careful what you wish for exiting Big12 quickly. I’m cool with 1-2 more years! It’s time to do some damage!

AAS just posted an article saying Texas and ou are paying a combined $100M to exit at the end of the '23-'24 school year.

This is from a post on SEC Rant about possible 3 yearly and the rest 6rotational per year. It seems as good as any, I guess. This route gives us 3 - 6 games worth watching at 2:30 pm cst.
