Yeah anyone who doesn't have them off the bubble but has Texas as a 5-seed is smoking something. We split with them. We're basically no better than them in SoS, and marginally better in games against the Top 50 because of our sweep of WVU.

Texas needed TTU to beat ou. We now control our own destiny for 3rd and have an "easier" scenario getting there. Our last 5 games are: Baylor/@ K St/OU/Kan/@ Ok St
All of these games are winnable. We're currently 17-9 overall; 8-5 conference. Those ahead of us: Kan 10-3 & WV 9-4; & we're tied with Baylor & ou 8-5.
We control our destiny for 3rd at worst in conference finish for B12 tournament seeding if we win out. And a loss by WV with a winout should bag us second at worst since we swept WV.

Texas also has a non conference win over then #3 UNC, they are still a top 7-8 team and reached #1, at one point.

Tech's best non conference win was over then #16 ranked Utah, who is no longer ranked.
