Looks like J'Covan will make it

From what I've read/heard, Shawn Williams plays more like a guard - he's equated his game to AJ's - than does Hamilton.

Scholarships will be tight (NCAA grants 13 total). In order to make room for four new players (Brown, Bradley, Hamilton, Williams), three current players will need to leave. Considering there's only two seniors, I guess the assumption is that James will leave after this year.

Exciting time for UT BB, quality players lining up to come to the 40 acres.

Carry this out for 2010 and we have two 5* s in PF/SF Tristan Thompson 6'8" /225 and SG Daniel Bajarano 6'5" /210 and one more available ship to give. Maybe to another guard since Mason, Smith and Pitman will graduate.

There are 3 badass guards available in Tony Wroten , SG 6'4" and 160 lbs. Needs work in the weight room. A pure shooter will get better with his defense.

Myck Kabongo PG 6'1" and 160 lbs. Great handle, excellent court vision , good Jumper to the ARC, pure PG ,passes first, makes players better around him. So,so on ball defense, like Wroten needs time with Todd Wright.

Deuce Bello, Great name like Kabongo is just a raw talent at 6'3 and 165lbs SPEED and Quickness, Explosive, Athlectic and is tough minded. Would excel in Barnes scheme of pick and roll and great lateral speed on defense.
Anyone of the above would be nice.

We may also have more ships if Hamilton and Bradley turn out better then expected and are 0ne and gone types.

Lot of quality players lining up for playing time, great for UT.

Wait, is Tony Wroten considering UT? I know we are "on his list," but is he really looking at us? Also, I wouldn't be so sure that Damion is leaving after this year. He's nowhere near ready. If he does come back, I could see this team as being the BEST UT team in history...

Durant was ready, Aldridge was ready, Augustin was ready, Gibson hated it here and wanted to get away (yes, I know more than you think). Damion has never expressed any interested in leaving like everybody seems to think. Don't lump me in with these other idiots who don't know what they are talking about and are only hoping for the best. I never said, "I think Damion is coming back." I said "I'm not so sure he's leaving."

I think all signs point to D James entering the draft.

particularly the fact that this is regarded as one of the worst drafts in recent history. no one is really high on the incoming freshmen...Mullens has underachieved, Jrue H isn't setting the world on fire. from what I understand, Monroe has looked better than some expected.

from the intl perspective, people aren't as high on Ricky Rubio as they once were and no one else is really thrilling the scouts.

I think if James continues at the current rate he'll likely project as a late first rounder. given that, I think he'll be gone.

I'm excited that J'Covan made it in. will be interesting to see if they do RS him. I know there was talk a couple of weeks ago that he'd play if he made it in. all things considered, might be a good move for RB to just RS him and let him get acclimated.

RE: another big man leaving early...who? big Dex is not going to the NBA this year. maybe one of our guys bolts due to a lack of playing time...wouldn't be that shocking, I guess. that said, I hope that doesn't happen.

James is inconsistent but he still has most of the season left to make some serious impression on the NBA scouts. The end of the UCLA game should remind everyone that James is a MAN when he wants that ball. I hope he comes back but if not, I think we will be fine.

I am looking forward to seeing J'Covan play. From all accounts, he will be an impact player. It is an exciting time to be a BB fan of the Horns that is for sure.

Don't know why we need 13. Unless for practice. Barnes seldom plays more than 7 when the conference starts.
