Looking forward to Tech

Even if you take this bull at face value...600+ yards! There IS no excuse for that. Even marginal walk-ons should be able to contain HBU!
Here are the TTU vs. HBU highlights.

You will hear the names Jared Sterns (#8) and Josh Sterns (#9) mentioned frequently. Josh gained 209 yds. and Jared about 130 yds. Caden's little brothers.

Something from Nahlin about Schooler

Grad transfer wide receiver Brenden Schooler turned heads in his first outing. He’s quickly becoming both a fan and coach favorite, and the same goes for Tarik Black. Both of these guys come equipped with a maturity the position was needing. With Black and Schooler being a tad redundant at X, the staff has worked Schooler at H. ... The staff loves both Schooler’s toughness and intelligence but are pleasantly surprised by just how athletic he is. With Whittington missing time, and Jake Smith just returning from injury, this could be a big move for the program. Schooler’s blocking will be an addition as well, but they’re moving him there for more than grunt work.

Okafor was at RT and did not play that well so he was moved to RG where he played better. Looks like that is where he will stay
The battle at RT is now between Christian Jones and Isaiah Hookfin. Jones was supposed to have a leg up, but it sounds like we were very happy with how Hookfin played.

Caden (patting siblings on heads) ..."Way to go against HBU...little brothers."

Definitely Okafor to OG. He’s better suited to the interior than to the edge. Jones looked good from what I saw. Glad to hear Hookfin graded out well, that’s very good news. That gives us three solid Underclassmen OTs: Karic, Jones, and Hookfin, to build for the future.

What is your wife's flying status?
She's been at SWA for 16 years, so all good for now. She is also taking voluntary leave.

It's at basically half pay for both of us. So, it's a hit. But, it helps preserve cash for the long run and keeps a junior pilot from zero pay or worse, furlough.

Only reason I am looking forward to this game is to meet @Run Pincher. Some libations up here as we watch it and solve some of the world's problems.

I promised I won't go into all of the other nonsense. Some will say I'm a hypocrite. Maybe. I don't think so, he is just a poster I like and will enjoy the company. Happens to involve this game.

Some of you guys will find this funny....

So I guess I was looking forward to tech too much...
About Thursday buzz around the house started and (with my kids getting a bit older...they are taking more interest in games) we were getting all geared up for the game yesterday.
Thursday through Saturday morning worked everything internally and externally to perfection in preparation.
We recently bought a used camper and I was doing some things to it my wife had...suggested...and just as I was feeling good about my work and shutting down to prep for the game, I realized I or one of the twins had left a storage compartment door open for who knows how long. Well, we've had alot of rain and some got inside the compartment and had already started rotting out a corner of the flooring under the bunks....I was not happy.
Called my wife and told her and said something like, "That's allright. At least the games on and I'll get some distraction and improve my mood." Plus, the kids were just coming out and wearing their hilarious game day outfits they had manufactured and looking ready for Dad, so I put a smile on and tried to move forward...though real upset still.
Anyway...We watched the clock, got a few balls, and Asa(8), Scarlet(6), Moses and Ezekiel(3), and I headed to the yard for a quick game of "Wootball" the twins say.
We played for about 30 minutes and headed in at 2:20, pillows spread around room, TV on, anticipatory smiles on faces and sat down to......The Simpsons???
After a few looks at the phone and flips of TV a little light went on and I made a more critical examination of the listing, while remembering a few key clues to aid my brains frantic work.
9/26
That's next week.
X!#%*&?%!
"What's wrong dad? Why isn't the game on?"

(I hate the Simpsons)
[TV clicks off]

I don’t think that is unusual coming out of the pandemic shutdown. We had 2 dry runs for activities recently (driving somewhere thinking it was open but we had the wrong day or wrong week).

@RainH2burntO how can you hate The Simpsons? It has sucked for 20 years, I will grant you that, but Homer is right that TV fades the urge to kill. Have your family sit with you and bask in television's warm glowing warming glow.

I was worried that with the open date the Horns might possibly lose the momentum from the win over UTEP. But then it occurred to me that Tceh, too, has an open date following their win over mighty HBU. In that respect, the odds will be even. Whew.

It got out into social media somehow.

That was how, just above with Nahlin's tweet
"I’ve heard some funny stuff. They’re feeling ruthless due to overcoming negative recruiting. They want to put some stuff to bed."
No one with the team gave a quote
