Longtime Dallas restaurant burns

Cremona (behind Texas de Brazil off Cedar Springs in Uptown) was quite a place - kind of shabby, yet huge, and full of unhip classic Italian fare served in a very old-school way. I really enjoyed going there and was sorry to see that it burned this morning (apparently from a fire that began at the adjacent paint-ball business - ********):

Here's a review that summed up the place pretty well:The Link

OH NO!!!! I live in Austin now, but have had so many meals there since the mid-80s. It's never been the top of the list for italian cuisine, but always a great place to hang out, have fun, and get consistent food, not to mention the endless supply of garlic bread. The covered patio area was great.
Hope they can rebuild!
