Texas has confirmed that six members of the 2012 football recruiting class — four high school prospects and two from junior colleges — have signed their scholarship agreements, enrolled in classes and checked in for the start of spring classes that begin on Wednesday.
The four high school enrollees are quarterback Connor Brewer of Scottsdale, Ariz., linebacker Alex De La Torre of Denton Ryan, offensive lineman Camrhon Hughes of Harker Heights and defensive back Orlando Thomas of Copperas Cove.
The junior-college enrollees, who signed in December, are offensive lineman Donald Hawkins of Northwest Mississippi Community College and defensive tackle Brandon Moore of East Mississippi Community College.
The remainder of Texas 2012 recruiting class, ranked second nationally behind Alabama, are expected to sign on Feb. 1, the national signing day.
The early enrollees are eligible to participate in the Longhorns’ spring drills, which begin Feb. 23.
