Longhorns Roster by Class

Cool. Looks like only a few seniors graduating after 08 but a few that you just can't replace:

Orakpo
Miller
Cosby

Other than that I see capable guys coming in and filling the spots and possibly upgrading the position.

Man when I see OL as sophomores that is going to leave a big void when they graduate. But a badass OL the next 3 years.

The amount of talent we have at LB and in the secondary is remarkable. We're also loaded at DE this year. That said, I'm worried about our defensive ends in 2009. Hopefully Russell Carter emerges as a solid player this season.

Safety and Quarterback are alarming.

We're really putting all the eggs in the Colt basket.

And we could have used Robert Joseph the last two seasons.

Don't know why you paint such a gloomy picture with the QB position. We've got Colt for 2 more years, Chiles or Sherrod for a year, and then 3 with Gilbert. I realize it's not at all this simple, but that paints a pretty decent picture of the QB situation as of right now through the 2013 season

Secondary like OL is just a position they will always have to go after 3-4 kids a year. I think Monroe moving to offense hurts a bit but hey he may move back.

Chy and Cu Brown are only sophs and Aaron Williams is a stud. Not a big need position but again they will get their 3-4 in 2010.

There's nothing wrong with Ryan Palmer starting in our secondary. The other guys on your list may benefit from Derry Syndrome, but Ryan Palmer is a solid football player.

The guys behind him will probably be better eventually, but not this season IMO. I do hope they split time with Palmer as much as possible for experience.

The thing that is glaring to me is just how young the secondary is.

But, man, that is a compilation of talent. There are studs everywhere on that list.

Looks like Texas has plenty of young talent on campus to compete at a high level for years to come.

I like this format... it really illustrates Mack & Co recruiting strategy.
