Longhorn Traveling Gnome

So back in May of 2008 I took a trip to Europe... I had this great idea to take one of those UT Gnomes with me and take pictures with it... Then, I thought about mailing it to other hornfans that live around the world and see if they would take some pics with it and share the pictures with us... It took me this long to actually do something...

I started this FACEBOOK group and invited people to get the gnome and take pictures... so far, he is going to Disney, Saudi Arabia, DC, Caribbean, and hopefully more places... Problem is that I only have one gnome and he's already on the Road...

So if you live in a place with cool landmarks or somewhere exotic, buy yourself a UT Gnome and share your awesome pictures with the Facebook group, or on here...

Did you get the idea from Amelie or from the TV commercial (which appropriated the idea from Amelie)? Which, if you havent seen it, IMO is the best French film ever. Anyways, I was thinking Mike Sherman's desk would be a great shot.

I don't remember where I saw it, but the "great idea" bit should read with a somewhat sarcastic tone... I just didn't know the emoticon for that... I know I didn't come up with it...

I know several people who've done that, and it'd be cool if we could put all pics in one place...

I'm planning a trip this may, and could for sure get that in the plan... I'm planning a trip up north, and maybe rent a car to go some places near NYC... I want to go to MLB and NFL ball parks... But I can picture him at campuses too... Maybe even just big 12... Lubbock and should be no problem, I have friends there, but thts about it...
