Thanks for posting this news. The little "slugger" was one of my favorite Longhorns. Hope she hits a ton of triples and steals a lot of bases for the Bears!

I had hoped to see her back on the forty acres in burnt orange, but let's hope she returns to all conference form in Blue and Gold. This girl is really fast as denoted by her initials.....SST. Go get em Shannon!

When Shannon came to Texas, her home town was listed as Antioch, a town near San Francisco. Her parents subsequently moved to Discovery Bay, which is a boating community North of Vallejo.

At Texas, it is rumored that Shannon decided to return to California during her second year at UT following the softball season, She was an honors student when she left so her issues were not academic. Her parents came to Austin and took her back to California. She enrolled in college there and has subsequently joined the California Bears team. Let's wish her well.
