Longhorn BB's

Billy Dale

The History of Longhorn Sports through 2014
When Mack Brown took the job as head coach, he asked DKR what his most important priority was to return Texas to national prominence. Royal said the players, UT administration, and fans were fragmented and scattered like BBs. Royal said you got to “Get all the BBs back in the (Longhorn) box.”
Royal knew what he was talking about!

DKR was hired after the Horn's worse football season ever, and Royal managed to put the BBs back in the Longhorn box and win three national championships.

Like Royal, Coach Brown inherited a losing Longhorn program. Still, he managed to put the BBs back in the Longhorn box to win one National Championship, and, at the time, Macks teams set national records in the total number of winning seasons.

I support Sark, but his record as head coach is not good. Sports history, not me, says that as of today, 8/09/2023, he has not been a good head coach at USC, Washington, or Texas.
I am not sure that Coach Sark is a great bb collector, but we will know for sure this year. It is essential for Sark to transition to a great coach in 2023 and put all the BBs back in the Longhorn box.

You are absolutely correct.
I want Sark to be the one.
Strong is a good guy and I hope he does well
There was something about Herman that didn't ring right.
Please let Sark be the one.

In my humble opinion, for Sark to do this he first has to focus on being the head coach and not part time head coach/offensive coordinator/play caller. The most obvious impact is crucial clock management which he can’t do while trying to figure out the next play he is going to call, but other areas suffer as well.

Hard to believe there was a season worse than Charlie's double 5-7, but you're right: 4-7 is worse!

Durn tootin'!
I wouldn't mind if he was HC and OC but didn't call the plays. (Up until the point that it's proven idiotic as well.)
