London Hotels

Thinking of going to London and was wondering where there was a hotel that was close to the action (i.e. bars, museums, etc).

Does anyone who has been there have some advice on where to stay?

If you haven't already, I would suggest using Trip Advisor to get a lot of great information & advice.

As far as the location, I would think the most important thing is your proximity to the subway station. When we went in 2005 we stayed at the K+K Hotel George in the Earl's Court area. There was nothing fancy about the hotel, but it was reasonably priced & was only about 200 yards from the Earls Court station. From that station, we could get to just about any of the stations where the action was within about 5-10 minutes.

I also stayed in the Earl's Court area, and it was very easy to get around. Plus a good pub or two in the area!

I couldn't recommend any pubs because we really didin't go to any, but I guarantee you the people on this website (below) can tell you anything you want to know. For about a month leading up to our trip, I was on this site pretty much every day gathering info.
