Watched 2nd half of Chiefs preseason game vs Bears. Charles was only in for one series. Not sure what he did in 1st half. Only carry was a draw where he slipped. If he hadn't slipped would have been a big gain. Other plays he stayed in to pass block or flared out in the flat but wasnt thrown to.

Lokey played almost the whole second half. He seemed really gassed, like he wasnt exactly in shape. Seems to have gained a lot of weight. But held his own at DT, made a tackle, came close to a sack where he barreled through the line but the QB escaped and got a 1st. My impression is he's a long shot to make the team. His height is a disadvantage in the passing game because the QB can see/throw over him more easily.

Dantrell Savage is also on the Chiefs. Had a few nice runs and a 10 yard screen.

Grossman looked terrible. Tackled himself on one play.

Don't underestimate Lokey.

And I would be seriously surprised if he was "over weight", I know he was at Michael Johnson's facility in McKinney this summer working on his speed.

Jamaal had a decent 8 yard run in the first half out of a 3 wide ace formation. They ran two draws for him during the 2 minute drill before they started passing the ball. He also returned a kick off, for about a 15-20 yard return.

Looks like J Charles is the 3rd down back for KC, which is something they've desperately needed. He's going to help them a lot, and hopefully take some of the pass rush pressure off their QB... I guess Croyle at this point.

Ricky looked good, too. Not sure what is up with Selvin... he might revert back to the 3rd down back in Denver.

Charles has had 0 carries and 0 receptions the past 2 preseason games. did he get hurt? I see nothing on the transaction wire.

I would be shocked if he didn't make the team. I remember reading something a few weeks ago that he was one of the most impressive players in camp, and was likely to be part of the regular rotation at DT.
