LOJACK for MacBook Pro and Applecare

I will be getting a MacBook Pro 15.4 for work in a few months. I will own it so is the laptop LOJACK worth it?

Also is Applecare worth it? I think I can get it for $150 with a discount?

I always get the AppleCare even though I've rarely needed it. I have a 2007 MacBook Pro and I've had two batteries replaced by Apple, but that's all. Still a good idea to have some insurance in case you need it. Apple support has been very good in my experience. $150 for AppleCare is a good deal.

The best advice I know, regardless of what kind of machine you use: back up your data regularly, at least once a week. I do it 3-4 times a week, a full bootable clone. For the Mac there's nothing better than SuperDuper. I have done a full disk restore with this and it was flawless.
