Live Music Tonight 6/21

I just found out that a friend is in town and would like to hear some live music tonight. Its really short notice so Im looking for a place where we can just walk up and buy a ticket and get in. He is generally into rock or country music. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I saw that the South Austin Jug Band is playing at MoMo's. I dont know anything about that place. Would we be likley to get in if we just showed up at 9 or so?

Not Austin, but Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers (lead singer of the Refreshments) are playing at Gruene Hall tonight. They always put on a great show.

Grand Archives is playing at Stubbs. It is definitely indie though - not sure if your friend digs that.

MoMo's is a good venue - it's on top of Katz's Deli on West 6th. Head down early, go to Lil Woodrow's or Opal Devines first, sit on the patio, grab a beer and enjoy the scenery walking by.
