went and had a beer there today. Outside of the fact it's in a strip mall, it's a solid spot.
It is atleast the corner business of the strip. Keep in mind this isn't one of those half mile strip centers but 3 or 4 smaller ones with decent decor.
Deck is about 25% bigger than 6th st location. Inside is atleast double the size. Decor is the same. If you woke up inside the place you would think you were at the other one (size and setup being equal).
Bar is much bigger and the TV situation is lightyears better. They have set it up so that you have multiple tv's at every view. There is more internal seating, both booth and table. Deck, as mentioned, is larger and you still have the "garage door" entry to the outside.
Most importantly the bartender is smoking hot. I mean smack your momma hot. Waitresses were decent.
Clientele was mostly the 30yr old professional crowd with some blue collar mixed in.
All in all it's a terrific north austin alternative to Cool ******* River and Sherlocks. Definitely would watch a sporting event there, while I wouldn't at the 6th st location because there are better options downtown.
Of course, something bearable opens in N Austin just as I'm moving central.
