I'm not sure about anyone else, but I found this quite hilarious. If he thinks the hardest thing to hear is the little kids swearing at him, wait till he plays tonight. The stadium is going to be in an uproar for every little mistake he makes.

i know he is not popular here because of the comments over the rose bowl a few years back, but I want to see the guy do good.

He looked great last year coming off the bench against the Cowboys.
 
Long story short, he said that we didn't deserve to go to the Rose Bowl against Michigan. It was Mack Brown's whining that got us in.

Of course, they then proceeded to get monkey-stomped by Tech in the (snicker) Holiday Bowl.

So he's taking the brunt of a situation he did not cause while the guy who jacked up everything is still revered as the god of Wisconsin. OK. He's paid the price for publicly knocking Mack and the Horns. He's free to go.
 
when he publicly apologizes and refers to Mack as a class act and Texas as a superior school will i then forgive rodgers.
 
Remember when he first got to Green Bay and the punter wouldn't give up his number to him? That was awesome. I'm not done with my dislike for Rodgers just yet. I laughed through that entire Holiday Bowl. Him crying for interference calls after every incompletion only made it sweeter.
 
Did Tedford pop off also? I only remember Aaron Asswipe doing that...

I regards to AR, I hope the black and blue division will live up to its nickname.

I don't remember. But I do remember Rogers on the Jim Rome radio show just whining and crying about the whole situation and ripping Mack.

He claimed that they had to beat texas tech by more than 30 points because that was the amount Texas beat them by so they had to surpass it to show they were better than Texas.

Also said that Cedric Benson was not as good as Cal's back at the time and that Benson had no business winning the Doak Walker award. Said they were going to pretend Tech were the longhorns when they played and would destroy them.

the rest is history. I don't think i have ever had as much fun watching a non-horn college football game in my life as i did watching Cal get raped by texas tech.
 
GOO for the win.

The only thing that would possibly have been sweeter than watching Tech eviscerate Cal in the HB that year would have been watching Texas doing the job ourselves. But it all worked out for the best. We drew a much more worthy opponent, and watching Cal getting taken to the woodshed by a supposedly inferior Big XII program was priceless.

I remember Rodgers blaming that loss on the disappointment of not getting a BCS bowl. Yeah, whatever.

I don't really have any great dislike for the Cal program in general, but Rodgers is a spoiled, whiny baby. Until he stops acting like anything other than a spoiled, whiny baby, it will not disappoint me if he fails.
 
Put me down for one who will feel a bit more vindicated when AR gets a Bomar-worthy sack by one of our former Horns. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long.

Until then, SUCK IT UP Rodgers and act like a man. "Boo hoo, little kids swearing at me hurts my feelings". Whatever.

Well, Im a Packers fan, so I'm rooting for him now.

I agree that the way he handled the favre situation has made it much easier to root for him. Plus he has a beard now so I can pretend its someone different.
 
some friends and i drove down from LA to San Diego to watch that Cal/Tech Holiday Bowl... probably the first time i was looking for a fight. I wore this Cal Rose Bowl shirt they pre-ordered and sold and rubbed it in everyone's face. none of those tree hugging ******* would come down. they'd just throw cokes on us.

that weekend kicked so much ***.
