This is exactly why I don't get excited about our own highly ranked verbals until a few weeks before NSD. And even still you have to sweat out the final day.

With so many high profile suitors out there, there's no point in counting chickens and getting excited months ahead. Especially when so much can happen in the coming football season.

I loved the Gentry verbal, and look how that ended after many months on board. I just pray Buechele stays locked in, but it's certainly not beyond a doubt he won't bail. It's nice to know your a leader at least, but nothing to count on.

Have you ever been to Auburn, Alabama? Collie Station is heaven compared to that place as at least you can get to somewhere civilized in relative short order. No there is something in Auburn that attracts football players (UPS or FedEx probably).

Yeah but those schools have not only won recently but over time too. Granted Bama is one of the top all time cheating schools, they still get it done. Aggies, not even not so much but not at all. Flash in the pan seasons that are okay for top tier teams but dynamite for them. They've won jack in the grand scheme of things. They are not even a fad compared to the other schools.
