He might make a practice squad somewhere, but I will be surprised if he (or Malik Jefferson) is picked up on a 53 man roster. I would be very happy to be totally wrong, though.

“Experts” say his slow combine (4.7) 40 time put him behind the 8-ball. But Jarvis Landry ran a 4.77, and the GOAT, Jerry Rice ran a 4.71.
I believe LJH will eventually be a star if he doesn’t give up. He’s a tremendous athlete who produced.
Malik, on the other hand, never lived up to his high school hype.

Good quotes. All LJH needs is a coach that will give him a chance. Walsh believed in Rice and that turned out ok.

Spot on on Jefferson.

It happens at every level. The superstar in junior high that stops growing at 5'11.

6'2 high school linebacker that stops growing. Predator not big enough to not be super fast in the pros.

That's cool though. Good Horn Wish him well in his career whatever it is.

NFL practice squad players make a minimum of $8,000 per week that they are on the practice squad. If a player remains on the practice squad for an entire regular season (at a minimum salary of $8,000 per week), he would earn a minimum of $136,000 over the full regular season if he keeps his spot on the practice squad. About the same as a McCombs Honors Graduate on Wall Street! Only a bit more physical, and they only have to work 5 months!

If LJH knew he was going to run a 4.79 and he sure the hell should know how fast he is, he should have come back and tried to gain 25 lbs and play TE. A 4.8 TE is fine, but not going to work at WR. Plus if you are a slow WR you better run the best routes in the history of the NFL. And he only played WR 2 years in college. Epic fail on his part to leave early. He was not ready. Making the roster now is good, but another year would have really helped.

Speaking of which, I love to watch Jason Witten and am glad he's playing again (especially since he is not a good announcer), but did anyone else see his catches on Sunday? I would be shocked if he could break 5.0 in the forty now.
