Life’s Challenges

In my distaste for Mulkey and Baylor’s success, it is easy to forget that all of us have life challenges that define us and are bigger than basketball. Mulkey’s Daughter & son-in-law and Mulkey are going through a huge one right now. The daughter’syet to born baby is fighting for its life. I can’t remember how far along the baby is, but has two major health issues. Both are life threatening. In the Dallas Morning News on Wednesday, it described the situation. From the article, the family is loving on the baby intensely. I can’t think of a situation more challenging than that. I pray that doctors have the wisdom to bring the baby through. And that the daughter and husband and Mulkey have the love and strength needed. Basketball is tough....and life is tough.......and how to handle tough situations may help and how you deal with it defines you. If you are so inclined, please pray for the baby, family and doctors.

Outstanding post. Everyone has tough battles to fight sometime in life. It’s important to remember that.

I wish all the best for the baby and the family.

No love lost for Mulkey on the court, but that sometimes makes it hard to remember that we're all human off the court and have those same struggles and emotions.

I am sending prayers to Waco and hoping for a true miracle in the Mulkey family

tough road ahead for Makenzie, her husband and their child. According to the Baylor forum, she said that her daughter has been diagnosed with Turner Syndrome and Hypoplastic Right Heart. Either the right side of her heart is missing or extremely small.

Prayers for all of them as they face this very difficult life situation.

This will be a challenging road for all involved. Per the Baylor forum, they lost the baby yesterday and Mulkey will not be traveling with the team to their away game. Prayers for all.

Coach Mulkey will not coach Baylor’s game vs UCLA due to “personal” reasons.
Difficult time for their family and hope it gets better soon

Prayers for the family. My sis lost her baby at about 20 weeks. It was sooo hard watching her go thru it. I was numb. Praying for strength and peace.

Both Kim and Lauren cox did not fly with the team. Cox has a really bad episode related to her diabetes and was admitted to the hospital... prayers up.

My understanding is Kim’s daughter lost the baby on Thursday and Kim stayed to be with her. Mom first. Coach second. Nothing wrong with that. Prayers headed to Waco.
