since the LHN started, I have seen much less UT programing and games than ever before.
That, combined with the fact that it was a major factor in making the Big 12 into a 10 team conference, make it a completley usless piece of ****.

I want the LHN and will switch to the first cable company in my area to do so. Is Grande expanding yet?

When I stopped by the Time Warner office in Hancock Center a couple of months ago I was told "We will never carry the Longhorn Network" by the guy behind the counter. Interesting answer.

Everytime I saw an advertisement for LHN on Godzillatron it really pissed me off. Why advertise a product that is not on the shelf?

It is on the shelf for lots of folks, just not TWC, Uverse, Direct and Dish. I have friends all over the state that get it, but I can't yet.

The lhn should be in a sports package or as an a la carte option, not on basic cable. Most of the people in Texas couldn't care less about the lhn. But the ones that do will pay for it. Seems like an "everyone wins" scenario to me.

Does anybody else get frustrated with the phrase "ESPN is continuously negotiating"?

I have a hard time believing they are locked in this constant state of negotiating trying to get this done. I feel that it is LHN is asking for a price that networks do not want to pay. I don't think there is any true haggling.

Meanwhile, when I call my network provider and ask for the LHN, I get a reponse similar to "yeah, I will let my people know you really want this station. Buh bye!"

It has really sucked not having access to LHN, but never fear it will be there this season. Disney renews contracts annually with carriers and all ESPN will do is lump LHN in the package of channels. No carrier will drop ESPN without cutting their own throat. Of course no one was willing to pay the fee for adding it in 2011, that would have been on top of the annual agreed price tag.

LHN will be on everyone's dial in a few months. Maybe we miss some baseball but in the grand scheme of things who cares. It's here in 2012.

Seriously been thinking about Grande in P-ville but I have some concerns.

1. Grande has Tivo. Does Tivo allow you to record and watch on more than one TV? Can I record a show downstairs while watching another show and have another box upstairs that I can watch a different show on all it the same time?

2. High Def-Is it at least as good as AT&T?

3. Customer service...how is it?

Doesn't Time Warner advertise on the LHN? There is some real irony in that! "Switch to Time Warner today so you can no longer watch the programming your watching right now."

Any ideas on the dates when Disney renews these contracts? I have been hearing this for several months and still no action.

I'm guessing a hot basketball prospect is more likely to get excited about Texas after watching today's come from behind win over KSU on ESPN, as opposed to NOT seeing the game but being reassured that it was "featured on our network."

I'm guessing he'd watch another game and maybe find more interest in other programs.

You are using adult thinking blonthang. "You can be a star on our network" works for an 18 year old. They don't care about tomorrow or anyone else. It is all about "me".

I have it on consolidated communications in the woodlands/Conroe area. All it will take is one of the big providers to pick it up and most likely all of them will, especially when people start switching. That first dominoe is huge though. For fans, the biggest impact is basketball where it has really impacted the ability to follow the team. Looking forward to baseball season though since I will be able to see most of the games.

I live less than 2 miles from the freaking stadium and Grande isn't an option (yet). The lack of options SUCKS!!!
