LHN to air 12 games

Well, the LHN is up and running. Providers are waiting for the satellite companies to pick it up before they're forced to.

I have Dish Network and just cancelled the college BB Full Court package as most of those games will be on LHN. We are in limbo here in SF Bay Area and it sucks.
Dish has no plans to carry LHN anytime soon.
Gonna miss half a season as a result.

Yeah, great news. 12 games a lot of people probably won't get to see now. But hey, it's making money for UT and that's what really matters.

This is very bad news. Most people do not have LHN and are not likely to get it.

Hopefully one year of this will be enough to pull the plug and end this little experiment. Then we will all be able to see the games again.

The only games that interest me on that list are the conference ones. It's a shame that many of those would have been picked up by our "ESPN+" local affiliates as part of the Big 12 Network. But I can't complain considering I get LHN.

Good thing I have season tickets bc I live in Austin and I don't see TWC picking it up anytime soon.

I have to admit, I'm kind of liking the basketball coverage they've started off with on LHN. Good interviews with the new kids. Those practices look seriously intense, which is something I never really considered about the teams with Mihm and Durant.

If we lose a ton of games this year, it won't be for lack of trying or poor conditioning. Those guys are going 100% speed in every clip they showed.

Thirdcoast,

You are dead-on with this... they sold your loyalty to ESPN. Now YOU have to pay to watch... they inserted a middle-man and forced dolllars by creating "value" that does not exist. I am truly perplexed at the number of alumni who continue to bash the cable companies for not picking it up. It's as if they are afraid of offending Dodds just in case Dodds is thinking about inviting them over for dinner or something.

Folks... you have no relationship with Dodds. You have no relationship with Powers. But you do now with ESPN... pony up because 99.9% of the country could give a rats *** about the LHN programming and that is what Time-Warner knows....

anyone know who they've hired to announce the LHN bball games? I've been impressed with the quality of the LHN studio and football crew so far.

I hated watching the terrible quality (and poorly announced) games on the ESPN+ thing, so I'm excited for whenever they get it on the networks.

Also, I just read that Van Gundy and Breen are announcing our game against Rhode Island. I can't wait for that. I think Van Gundy is the best color man in a long time.
