According to Chip Brown tweet about half and hour ago.
Texas has agreed to have NO high school content on the LHN, not even high lights approved by the NCAA.
Says Chuck Neinas gave Texas 24 hours to consider Tier 3 concessions.
No high school content for the next 6 years, and a granting of Tier1/2 rights to the conference for 6 years as well.
And RIP Steve Jobs! You will be sorely missed, along with your vision and relentless drive for perfection.
Texas did not want to limit LHN programming and grant rights to the conference for longer than that.
The hope is that Mizzou reacts favorably by joining the agreement, and staying put.
I think the first step in the LHN turning into a full fledged conference network has been taken. I figure keeping it the LHN for 2-4 years gives Texas face saving way to then turn it into a conference network, as Texas can then claim that its own investment in the network has been recovered.
And RIP Steve Jobs. You will be sorely missed, along with your vision and relentless drive for perfection.
