LHN and TTU

IMHO, the LHN was largely a wasted opportunity to have a UT-centric network with good programming 24/7. I probably couldn’t have done it any better, but there are plenty of RTF grads who could have.

Brother, it's Tech... always an opportunistic program with many uninformed fans for any kind of attention. Many of them hate UT more than the love tech.

Unfortunately, many are NOT wise enough and will bite any hand that might indirectly help feed their desperate and always fledgling football program!!

Like LHN broadcasting one of their lame games!

I'm for giving Tech a percentage of LHN if they will broadcast old Mike Leach press conferences. Funnier than anything the networks have come up with

I'm thinking some nachos or something next week at the gathering.

Sort of like us declining to play football with the Aggies when they ran out on us?

and that story is ten years old.

when are you guys going to get used to the fact that nobody likes the big rich kids? Except Rice, which likes us in the most condescending of ways?

Rice likes us because we are the only two Tier One academic schools in Texas, albeit that we are barely there and Rice is in the teens.

Another reason is because almost all Rice grads are headed to grad schools, a goodly percentage in Austin (if not Baylor College of Medicine across Main Street).

We may be the only school that has never failed to give the MOB a standing ovation after their performance - yes even the year they made a makeshift Tower and had members dressed in Longhorn unis climbing up a ladder and jumping off the top of the Tower.

I remember the good ole days when they hated aggy more than us. My brother went to tee tee in the mid 60s (graduated in the UT system), that was a fun program to follow. Sometimes good football teams would come forth, but ultimately "same old tech". Now they look like jealous byatches.
