LHB Section in DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium

I know that the Longhorn Band will be moved to the SEZ bleachers this season. Does anyone know what section(s) they'll be in?

Given that there are only 4,000 bleacher seats... and given that they'll probably have lower rows... and given that they will need an easy exit... that leaves you with pretty much just two options...

Lower Right or Lower Left portion of the bleachers. I imagine they'll be a pretty darn big chunk of it too...

I actually don't know what sections we'll be in, though. The directors probably know, so if your life is not complete without you knowing, or you're just bored enough to do so, email one of the directors or the band office and find out. If I find out within the next week, I'll be sure to let you know.

While I know the band members don't love it, this move will allow more of the stadium to experience the LHB...

I liked the LHB on the West Side where they have always been. I don't like this move.

Hopefully they'll be as close to center as possible, but I'm guessing you'll be able to hear them much better from anywhere in the SEZ (unless you were on the West side before.)

As much as I liked our seats (LHB 02-06), it always bugged me a little that folks on our side of DKR (most of the students) couldn't really tell what we were playing unless the watched horn swings or felt the drum pulse. Last fall I sat/stood/drank directly behind LHB and unless they turned around it was impossible to hear them. This is, overall, a good move for the school and the fans. Also, assuming seats are filled by fans, when the opening kick off occurs, the camera won't pan over a huge chunk of empty seats.
