Apparently they recently introduced some new unis for the 2024 season. Nice colors.

They are great in all three phases.

They have Aledo's old QB, so while he was probably undefeated in HS, my guess is that he'll lose come Saturday.

They run a pretty traditional 4-2-5 and since we practice against something similar all the time, our offense should be fine.

Their offense was mediocre last year, but that didn't stop some opponents from keeping it close in the 4th quarter against us. I'd like our LBs and DBs to play a little more man (even though it'll be 150 degrees on the field) in order to force the QB's hand more often.

Good game to open the season. Texas needs to prepare well and take CSU seriously. If the Longhorns execute well in all phases of the game, this should be a convincing win.

FYI this is a race weekend at COTA. The Sunday race, with practice on Friday and Saturday and qualifying on Saturday, is part of the World Endurance Championship (the 24 hours of Le Mans is part of the series which makes the event a big deal). The spectator crowd will be nowhere near the F1 event, but there are more teams which means more hotel rooms taken by the event.

CSU Defensive lineman Nuer Gatkuouth is out for the game with turf toe. He had 53 tackles and a sack last season. Norvell also said 6-foot-8 tight end Jaxxon Warren, a transfer from North Texas, will miss the season after shoulder surgery.
