Let's go, Red Sox!

clay bucholtz looking like a bulldog for the bosox...this is a great game to watch...b7th, 2 out runner on 1rst

halo's pen starting to give in...4-1 sox, t 8th...2 put, runner on first....7.5 up sounds nice right about now

b8th, atchison gets 2 out and one on...matsui goes yard...4-3 sox still in 8th...papplebon has been warming up for 5 minutes

halo's pen problems continue...sox get 2 more on a near homer, 6-3 sox

if this really is the angels pen (gas station), we've got the west sewed up...what was the angels' strength has suddenly become a problem

I warned you guys weeks ago that the As are a problem. No, no, no ... y'all said the Angels were the issue. But the As are coming on strong and we need to bring an "A" game of our own to quell their surge.

Yes, maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit, but 7+ is going to be hard for a team like the swingin' A's to make up. The Angels would scare me if they were on all cylinders, but that isn't happening.

I just have that feel about this year....different than any other. Everything seems to be falling into place for us for a change. First, most of our pitching question marks have come thru shining like stars. Defense has been spectacular. Our BA w/ RISP is at or near the top of the AL. Relatively injury free (knock on wood)

Then we get Cliff Lee, take him from the jaws of the Jonkees. When did **** like that ever happen for us?

It's our year to take the west, maybe more....maybe a lot more.

H2R - you make some valid points and agree maybe for once some things are falling the Rangers way. 7.5 game is significant vs. this struggling and injured LAA team but the good guys have got to stay focused - Oakland is playing pretty well and will give them a good run in this series. Cliffy needs to shut em down and the R bats need to give him more breathing room than a run or two.

GO RANGERS!

Texanne: Trying to get us worried about the A's reminds me of the problems of Tim the Enchanter from Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail. The Link

I'm sure all you Ranger fans are happy that the Red Sox beat the Angels again tonight. I just watched Papelbon put the finishing touches on it

I don't suppose ya'll will be rooting for the Sox much when all us RedSox fans invade Arlington in a couple of weeks though, right?

Texascoder,

I've seen a lot of dumb questions posted on these board (hell, I've posted more than half of them!), but that's got to be the dumbest. Were RANGERS zealots.

It's like when you root for us to beat the Yankees or the Rays. Understand?

Scutaro just hit Grand Slam for Sawx to go up 7-3 in the 8th.

Not to put the cart before the horse, but if that holds and Colby wins tonight...9 1/2 lead. OMG.

Hook'em!!!

I guess I should have surrounded my post with <tongue-in-cheek>..............</tongue-in-cheek>

Anyway, ya'll should be even happier today since the RedSox finished off the sweep of the Angels. I have to say though... the RedSox had a pretty good road trip and have built up some momentum. They should be clicking on (almost) all cylinders when they get to Arlington in a couple of weeks

Anyone else planning on going to the RedSox/Rangers games in Arlington?

I'll be there on the Friday game. But, don't be expecting the Rangers to be any more accomodating than they were the last time they played those God-awful Red Sox. And please, be on your best behavior

Hook'em!!!

Coder, we do owe you a thank you...the halos are now 6 ft under as far as i'm concerned

-first sweep at home in 3 years
-kazmir on the DL. Haren dinged up.Piniero out for "weeks"...bullpen suddenly struggling.
-angel players bagging on their own fans for booing lackey

stick a fork in em, they're done....that team has had a lot of adversity tossed their way. Last yr they got hot in mid July on in....This year - it's different

p.s. Coder, when the sox are here....come early, wear red and blue, stay late.....and don't let the scoreboard get you down

A couple of years ago, Shadowdancer and I went to the rare April doubleheader in Arlington. The opponent was the Red Sox.

The Rangers swept.
