Nice article; I was actually a bit surprised he was able to pass Centrowitz over the last 100.

I think the US is fielding the strongest group of distance runners since at least 1972. Kenya & Ethiopa may still have the runners to beat, but we have many strong medal contenders in Rupp, Manzano, Centrowitz, Lagat, Hall & Meb, and on the women's side Uceny, Simpson, Flanagan, and Davila.
